Dr. Sebastian Schirrmeister is a literary scholar and conducts research among other things on German Hebrew literary relations and on German Jewish archives. He is currently particularly interested in revenge narratives in Jewish literatures since the Shoah.

Prof. Adia Mendelson-Maoz is a professor of Israeli literature and culture in the Department of Literature, Language, and Arts at the Open University of Israel. In the last decade Mendelson Maoz has been working on Yoram Kaniuk's literary endeavor, based on his personal archive. She discovered Kaniuk's unpublished manuscript Sabon (Soap, 2018) and recently published the book, Yoram Kaniuk: Not Quite a Biography, which received the Bahat Award, Haifa University (2025).

Dr. Alexandra Nocke is a cultural scholar, curator and author with a focus on German Israeli topics. She develops and realizes projects and exhibitions that translate historical subjects into contemporary contexts, working at the intersection of research, memory culture and social dialogue.

Prof. Joachim Schlör is emeritus professor of modern Jewish non Jewish relations at the University of Southampton. Many of his publications are based on personal documents, letters, diaries, photo albums, from the lives of German Jews who emigrated to Palestine or the United Kingdom after 1933. He met Yoram Kaniuk in 1992 and continued to meet him in Berlin and Tel Aviv, and has used his books, especially Happiness in Exile and The Last Berliner, in his own work.

Dr. Tom Kellner is a scholar specializing in contemporary Israeli literature, cultural studies, feminist theory and postcolonial theory. Since 2024, she has been working as the research coordinator and manager for the DFG Priority Program "Jewish Cultural Heritage" at the European Center for Jewish Music, HMTM-Hannover. She has an extensive scholarly engagement with Yoram Kaniuk's oeuvre and has worked closely with Professor Adia Mendelson-Maoz, most recently as the academic editor of her book Yoram Kaniuk: Not Quite a Biography.
