Evil dominates the headlines, while good seems like a footnote—a profound imbalance in our perception of reality. In the one-woman show SURVIVAL OF THE FRIENDLIEST, Therese Lösch ventures into the undergrowth of the man-made categories of "good" and "bad," positions herself in relation to the world, and wrestles with her fear and mistrust. In her attempt to tell the story of good, she encounters silver foxes, William Golding, and an eternal forest.

Who decides what is good? And how can one still believe in goodness if one does not speak of it? Drawing on a survey about goodness, gathered stories, and their own texts, performer Therese Lösch and director Melina von Gagern pose existential questions about our inner demons—and those supposedly dwelling in the foreign, in the other. For do we not, above all, find goodness in what or who is most like us?

Therese Lösch acts, directs, and writes. She studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her directorial and writing debut was Lazy Women (TD Berlin, 2023). She co-directed the play Geld Ist Klasse (FFT Düsseldorf), which, among other things, was invited to participate in the Playwrights' Theatre Festival at the Deutsches Theater. Melina von Gagern is a director, writer, and actor. She develops and directs projects for various stages and also writes for radio. Her feature Blaublutbild was nominated for the Prix Europa.
